On A Healthy Note

Tough times don’t last but tough people do…

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss.

Well, big words you would say. However, little impact when you are down in the dumps. When I begun to write this piece, I had no idea how to make even a small difference in your life. But then a veil lifted and words just started flowing.

Wise men who have studied success for more than 50 years concluded that the greatest success principle of all is, “Learn from the experts.” So I looked up into the minds of a plethora of experts who scripted a million or more articles on this subject. The more I read the more I thought, the more I thought the more the picture became clearer.

 Life has a way of happening in the weirdest of ways possible – job, family, weight gain, skin issues, bloating, pot bellies, kids and managing them, ageing, husband or wife (whatever applies), in-laws, too many demands on us from all sides possible. And we don’t even realize, how life slips by.

So here comes handy a few friendly recommendations (very scientific ;) ) from your Good Health Partner, that’s Enjoy them and you will do so much better if you try to apply them.

1. Always remain open to new learnings

Sometimes, we might come across new things and possibilities. Don’t be rigid and put them down. See whether it has merit and whether it can help you in achieving your goal which is to make your life better. And the lives of those you love and care for. Isn’t that what we all want?

So keep your eyes and ears open and flexible, learn new things and explore new possibilities. You will realize life has so much more to offer and is that much more rewarding.

2. Talk to yourself instead of letting yourself talk to you

Remember …. “Success comes in “CANI” – Constant and Never Ending Improvement ….. of life, visions, values, self…..

Yes I can shed the extra 20 kilos I accumulated over two years.

I can skip a meal. Try a ‘fruit day’, a ‘milk day’, a ‘juice day’, a ‘porridge day’ and why not…A PIZZA DAY. Sometimes, you might let loose but don’t let that deter you. There is always room for improvement, if you allow it. See how you can make your life better in every way. Take different aspects of your life – health, love, career, family, finances – see how you can make them better. And small improvements, over time, make a giant difference to the quality of your life

3. Smile, under all circumstances.

“Success is a journey, not a destination.” There are many reasons to fail, there are far more reasons to succeed. You may fail at one of your goals, get up, dust yourself off and try again. Always be focused on the big picture. The trick is to not give up, but get up and go forward in the face of adversity. Remember, there is always a new day and a fresh beginning.

As the saying goes… “Once you make a decision, the world conspires to make it happen.”
